This magnificent museum devoted to fans has over 2 000 examples. The permanent exhibits cover methods of manufacture and materials used, types of fan and geographical variation. Temporary exhibitions also take place and demonstrations (making, conserving and restoring) happen in the shop. The garden has a fan-shaped terrace, pond, Japanese planting schemes and a reconstruction of a Georgian orangery.
