General Post Office : Michelin's recommendations

The General Post Office stands on the site of a former convent. The central building dates from 1902. Outside stands the statue of Sir Rowland Hill, who in 1840 introduced the penny post, the uniform rate for a letter sent anywhere in the kingdom.
