This building was constructed in the 18C following the plans of William Kent with two wings enclosing a square where in winter the Changing of the Guard takes place. Three Arches that open onto the immense square of Horse Guards Parade pierce the central building that is topped with a clock tower. It is the general quarters for the Horse Guards and has the function of the official entrance to Buckingham Palace
