The Imperial College of Science and Technology (1913) with a neo-Georgian facade, is an enormous group of buildings encompassing the Royal College of Music and the Mining School. The buildings are overshadowed by a high tower known as the Queen's tower. Opposite is the Sir Alexander Fleming Building designed by Norman Foster which, with its glass facade and its stepped roof, unites architectural originality and high tech.
