Once the house of the Earl of Chesterfield, then the residence of the warden of Greenwich Park, this is now a museum where visitors can see the Wernher Collection of European art: religious pictures by Filippo Lippi, Dutch Old Masters (Metsu, Van Ostade, de Hooch), Renaissance jewellery of rare beauty, medieval ivory and Renaissance bronzes.
