The Church for the press and the «Fleet Street cathedral», St Bride's Church is dedicated to Brigitte of Kildare, one of the patron saints of Ireland who lived in the 5C and 6C. It's the 7th Church built on this site. Rebuilt (1670-1684) after the Great Fire of London, it burnt down again in 1940 but the attractive Belfry built in 1701-1703 69 m high is still standing.
