A square-plan Tudor manor dating from 1547, Syon Park was in the 18C renovated by the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland who employed Robert Adam for the task; the Great Hall represents his greatest work. Capability Brown was engaged to remodel the gardens, renowned globally for the variety of their flora. The vast rose garden is a riot of colour from May to August.
