Unilever House : Michelin's recommendations

With its ground floor with rustic bosses, its colonnade and long corridors, this imposing building occupies part of the Bridewell Palace site. This residence built in 1522 by Henri VIII, which was used as a residence for ambassadors extraordinary, was then given to the town and converted into an orphanage. Rebuilt after the Great Fire, the building then became a prison. Notorious for its atrocious conditions, the prison was razed to the ground in 1864.
