Victoria Embankment Gardens Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

These gardens were created in 1864 and hold concerts in the summer. On the other side of the road, on the banks of the river stands Cleopatra's Needle, an Egyptian obelisk in red granite given to George IV by Mohammed Ali. In a broad arc between Westminster Bridge and Blackfriars, Victoria Embankment (more than 2km long) is an agreeable walk along the Thames where some vessels from the early 20C including the frigate Wellington are moored.
