Victoria Street
Victoria Street : Michelin's recommendations
Victoria Street is lined with buildings made of glass, steel, concrete and stone. It was cut in 1862 to link Parliament to the famous Victoria Station. On the north side in an old churchyard is a 1974 monument to the suffragettes. Other buildings of note include New Scotland Yard (1967), London Transport's headquarters (1927-29), and Little Ben, a scaled-down model of Big Ben. Victoria Railway Station was built in 1862. The Grosvenor Hotel was designed in 1860-61. A great bronze stag stands in Stag Place.
