The view from the Bridge towards South Bank is splendid. The proportions and structure of the IBM building (1983) blend in with the National Theatre, which is by the same architect, Denys Lasdun. On the east side (to the left) is the London Weekend Television building, overlooked by the towers of the IPC publishing company and, beyond it, Gabriel's Wharf is a busy area with many craft workshops and social housing.
