Long Melford Travel guide
Long Melford : Michelin's recommendations
Long is the correct adjective for this town, its main street running for 3km. It is lined with 16C-18C half-timbered houses and leads to a spacious green triangle, overlooked by Trinity Hospital (1573) and the old Holy Trinity Church (late 15C). This is one of the finest "wool churches" in East Anglia, with a 14C alabaster low-relief of the Adoration of the Magi, as well as 15C stained-glass windows.
