Newquay : Michelin's recommendations

The sheltered bay of Newquay faces north. The town used to be a pilchard port, exporting salted fish to Italy and Spain. Huar's House on the headland is definitely worth a visit. The huar summoned the fishermen when he saw shoals of fish entering the bay. Newquay has recently been enjoying a revival among surfers, thanks to the sandy beaches that stretch out at the foot of the cliffs.
