Tourist attractions Pickering : Things to see and do

  • From Pickering station, steam trains still travel to Grosmont (29 km). The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a remainder of the Pickering-Whitby line that was opened in 1836 by Stephenson.

  • On the north and south walls of this church, largely made in the romanesque style, you can see frescoes that were uncovered in 1851 and have been restored since, showing the lives and acts of the two saints.
