The beautiful gardens of Compton Acres occupy over 6ha in a rift in the sandstone cliffs. They include rock, Italian, water and Japanese gardens and have flowers in bloom throughout the year. Beautiful sunsets can be admired from the English Garden, and there is a splendid westerly view of Poole harbour, Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills.
