Rhuddlan Castle Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Long ago, Rhuddlan was a seaside village. In 1284, the famous "Statute of Wales" was proclaimed in the castle. Entry to the remains of the castle is by the west gatehouse. The first and second floors provided comfortable apartments with fireplaces. The immense dry moat gives an idea of what the castle must once have looked like. The lower walls to the outer ward, and a defended river wall and dock can still be traced on the ground.
