Hard to think of any.
Cons
Accepted 10pm booking. We arrived at 9:35pm was told that kitchen closed at 9:30pm & no starters were available. Hurried service; staff interrupted us and seemed more interested in getting home than providing service. First choice of fine wine unavailable. No apology or suggested alternative, just excuses. Refused to serve a final drink when requesting the bill. Manager told us that the bar closed at midnight. We pointed out that it was before before midnight. Finally tried to overcharge us!

Pros
Yes, why Thackeray's dosen't have a star or two is beyond me. The decor is a delightful mix of olde wordly which befits the histoic building, with deft modern touches. Serice is perfect, not snotty or overly formal, nor too casual. We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed.
Cons
The bill. Although we could have opted for the excellent value de jour or market menus, we were celebrating and the a la carte was irresistable. It was worth every penny.
