Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment (Salisbury) Museum Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The regiment was formed by the amalgamation of the Royal Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiments. The museum is housed in the Wardrobe, one of the oldest houses to be built in the Close (1254) as the Bishop's storehouse and wardrobe; it was altered in the 15C and later converted into a dwelling. Epic moments in the regiments' histories are illustrated with displays of uniforms, weapons, dispatches, maps, medals and snuff boxes.
