Take a stroll along the seafront and see the enormous spa centre that has been turned into a conference and amusement centre at great expense. The elegant Crescent was begun in 1833 and is lined with fine stone villas, one of which used to belong to the Sitwell family. Today, it is home to the Wood End Museum, devoted to natural history and souvenirs of the Sitwells.
