This popular summer centre is set around a large green, the venue for its annual Highland Games; part of the traditional pageantry is the ceremonial entry of the chief of the Clan Gordon. The village is at the heart of Deeside, the valley of the River Dee, a splendid salmon river bordered by castles, villages, beautiful forests and hills.
