Applecross
: Michelin's recommendations
The village is sited on a bay with a red sandy beach; at low tide the whole bay takes on a marbled appearance (veins of grey and black against the background of red sand). The monastery of St Maelrubha was founded here in the 7C. In among the village’s white houses is an excellent pub, the Applecross Inn.
