John Buchan Centre : Michelin's recommendations
The John Buchan Centre, in the Old Church in Broughton, is a tribute to author and statesman, John Buchan (1875-1940). After spending holidays here, Buchan remained loyal to the area and often used it as a setting for his novels which included The Thirty-Nine Steps (1915), made famous in 1935 by the masterpiece of the great film director, Alfred Hitchcock.
