Given to the National Trust for Scotland in 1948, the estate is made up of four farms, 48 ha of forest, a manor and a 26 ha park. The Victorian manor houses a school and has a garden that is the work of practical exercises by the students themselves. The garden is enchanting, with a wide variety of flowers, plants, trees and bushes. The rose garden, glasshouses, an arboretum and woodland walk are all delightful.
