Catterline : Michelin's recommendations

This tiny fishing village has rows of cottages standing on the clifftops and rocky outcrops along the shoreline. It became famous thanks to landscape paintings by Joan Eardley (1921-1963). From 1950 until her death, this artist painted the coast in all seasons, with the same vigour and freedom as the tempestuous sea.
