This pleasant holiday resort is well situated on a hillside, overlooking the fertile loop of Strathearn. Crieff stands at the threshold of the Highlands, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and is an ideal centre for excursions. The arrival of the railway in 1856 enabled its spa establishments to flourish. Today, Crieff's many Victorian buildings show how fashionable this resort town became during that period.
