Dunbar : Michelin's recommendations
Dunbar is a holiday resort and excursion centre on the east coast of Scotland. The town is named after the formerly powerful fortress around which it grew. The town stands on the main east coast route, bang in the path of invading armies. It was the scene of two major Scottish defeats, one during the Wars of Independence (1296) and the other during Cromwell's campaign (1650).
