Cathedral Street Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The street was rebuilt to original plans after the town was sacked in 1689. In 1950, since many of the 17C houses were derelict, they were restored with the assistance of the National Trust for Scotland and the local authorities. Cathedral Street is lined with houses with attractive door and window mouldings which enhance the pale colour of the roughcast walls; the houses are separated by covered passageways.
