Cuisine modern

Menu: £27, £65 - £75 - Carte: £48/£68

In the shadow of the castle, an understatedly stylish restaurant with a gilded ceiling and an attractive bar-lounge. Refined cooking showcases seasonal local produce in an assured, unfussy manner, following a 'nature to plate' philosophy.

      Pros

Stunning food in a stunning setting - highly recommended. Quakir=ty local seasonal produce intelligently matched and skillfully cooked. Nothing allowed to overpower anything else. Treated with respect and tolerance by the attentive staff when asking for detail and explanation of dishes and techniques. Loved the whole experience.
