Findhorn is the third village to have occupied this site, and dominates a bay of the same name, a magnificent expanse of water subjected to the tides, with dunes, a fine beach, mud flats and brackish water marshes. Enjoyed by water sport enthusiasts, it is also internationally renowned as a haven for the seabirds, wild geese and seals that use its shoreline.
