Culbin Forest
Culbin Forest : Michelin's recommendations
A stretch of dunes, the famous Culbin Sands, were originally stabilised by beachgrass, replaced in 1922 by Corsican pines. Culbin Forest, a site of particular interest to scientists is one of three areas planted to stabilise the sandy coast. Beyond the forest and sands is a small pebbled creek. The sand bar formed by the waves shelters the salt marshes which are a haven for seabirds.
