Fochabers : Michelin's recommendations

This attractive village was built in the 18C, on a grid pattern whereby its main streets converge towards a central square. The streets are lined with Georgian houses, while the square is dominated by the parish church, adorned with an elegant portico and stone spire. The first village, called Bog o'Gight, stood on the Gordon Castle estate and was demolished by the 4th Duke in order to build a great house,(which was later also partly pulled down).
