This sturdy tower house in the town centre has been redeveloped and is now home to the Tourist Office; on the upper floors are lively exhibits illustrating its development from a 16C tower house to a refined 18C residence, an inn in the 19C and a hotel in the 20C. One room is devoted to paintings by the local watercolour artist, Tom Scott, and another to the wool industry. There is a good direct view of the town centre from the parapets.
