Loch Fyne, a beautiful long sea loch, stretches from the Argyll mountains to the ocean north of the Isle of Arran. It is surrounded by magnificent wild mountain scenery. Over one hundred years ago, this immense stretch of water was the scene of a highly successful herring fishery, with over five hundred fishing boats in the loch.
