: Michelin's recommendations
Visit the museum's pontoons to see the sturdy old puffer, the Spartan (1942), the elegant six-sail Vagrant, designed by William Fife (1884), the Falcon, an experimental wind-propelled boat devised by the University of Glasgow, and the impressive hull of the Carrick, a clipper once famous for beating the Cutty Stark. In a restored Edwardian building at no 122a Montgomery Street is the restored lodging of a shipyard worker.
