Kirriemuir : Michelin's recommendations
With its narrow and winding streets lined with red sandstone houses, the small town of Kirriemuir has a certain charm, It is set at the foot of the Highlands, facing the great curved Vale of Strathmore and lying at the heart of a countryside where raspberry bushes grow. It is the birthplace of the playwright JM Barrie, creator of Peter Pan, who made the town the setting for some of his books, using the name of Thrums.
