Millport : Michelin's recommendations

This is the main town on Great Cumbrae Island, not far from Glasgow. Near Millport is the University Marine Biological Station, a research centre housing an interesting geology exhibition. Specimens of local marine wildlife can be seen in the aquarium. An industrial complex on the mainland, consisting of a huge nuclear power station and a shipyard, is alas all too visible from the island.
