Plockton
: Michelin's recommendations
This charming village, whose main street is lined with palm trees, occupies an ideal site, facing a sheltered bay to its east. Plockton was founded by refugees at the time of the Clearances (eviction of Highlanders from their land from the late 18C to mid-19C) and is now an ideal holiday resort for yachtsmen and windsurfers.
