The shapely peak rises to an altitude of 974m towering over the eastern bank of the "Queen of Scottish Lochs". The peak is the most southerly of the Highland Munros. At its feet lies the Highland Way which starts from Milngavie, north of Glasgow, and follows the east shore of Loch Lomond to Fort William.
