Cowane's Hospital : Michelin's recommendations

Until recently occupied by the town hall, this E-shaped building was founded by John Cowane (c 1570-1633) to offer asylum to 12 local people. Built between 1633 and 1639, the premises include a refectory with a dormitory above. The benefactor, a Member of the Scottish Parliament, can be seen above the entrance.
