The village has four sculpted Pictish steles dating from the 7 to the 9C. Among the stones lining the roadway, one has a cross flanked by angels and, on the other side, a hunting scene with Pictish symbols. Other examples of these enigmatic symbols can be seen along the roadside. On the left, on the road leading to the cemetery is a stone sculpted with intertwined animals and battle scenes, another brilliant illustration of this Pictish art.
