The 17C Drumlanrig Castle is a particularly majestic castle with four square towers quartering the courtyard structure in the native tradition. The main façade is innovative with its terraces, horseshoe staircase, dramatic turreted skyline and rich sculptural detail. The interior contains a superb collection of paintings, including a Holbein, a Leonardo, a Rembrandt, fine furniture and precious clocks.
