The cable car provides an easy way to enjoy something of the magic and beauty of this mountainous region. From the terminal (about 1 100m, exhibition, restaurant), there is a grandiose view westwards over the Spey Valley, which widens into a basin between Loch Morlich and Aviemore ski resort. A path climbs the final 150m to the summit of Cairn Gorm (1 245m), from where there is a magnificent panorama in every direction and beyond the Cairngorm Mountains.
