Shambellie Museum of Costume : Michelin's recommendations

The mid-19C house was designed in the Scottish style by David Bryce. Its construction posed many difficulties, as shown in the heated correspondence between the architect and the lord of the manor. In 1977, Charles Stewart gave up his house and its rich collection of costumes (late 18-early 20C) to the Royal Scottish Museum. Decorated with much taste, the rooms house a little selection of costumes in a luxurious setting.
