      Pros

      Spectacular setting.

      Cons

Tried to book for 8.0 pm so we could have a stroll on the beach before but told we had to eat at 7.0 pm. Missed the walk and annoyed to see plenty of tables free even at 8.30. Food too simple with little cooking skill - I would like the chef to make some effort! For instance the crab cake starters were bought in rather than home-made and the squid was frozen.

      Pros

Perfectly cooked fresh fish on 2 visits. Lovely views over to Brownsea island from the terrace. Informal friendly staff.

      Cons

Only parking in National Tust car park which is quite expensive. Easy access from No 50 bus.
