An old church was rebuilt in the late 11C by St Wulstan, and although its superb crypt has survived, most of the cathedral, including the tower, was rebuilt in the 14C. The chancel, which houses numerous funeral monuments, is a remarkable example of the Early English, and Prince Arthur's chantry chapel is in the late-Perpendicular Gothic-style. Note the wonderful keystones of the cloister.
