Castle Howard Chapel : Michelin's recommendations
The chapel has fine stained-glass windows designed in the 19C by Edward Burne-Jones and executed by William Morris in 1872. The subject matter is classic Pre-Raphaelite; from left to right: The Annunciation, The Nativity, The Adoration of the Magi and The Flight into Egypt. The use of shimmering colours and the frequently featured female face are typically Pre-Raphaelite. On leaving the chapel, note the Madonna and Child ceramic bas-relief by Sansovino to the left.

Pros
Témoignage d'un art "intégré" des Préraphaélites. Très bel état de conservation. Comme dans tout le chateau, la documentation fournie sur place (existe en français) est claire et complète.
