"The Old Homestead is an award-winning country guest house offering high quality bed and breakfast accommodation in the Lorton Valley in The Lake District National Park. Your hosts Zen and Jayne, are there to welcome you and cook a traditional Cumbrian breakfast (vegetarian option available) or continental breakfast to ready you for the days events. Our guest house is situated in the Northern Lake District and lies at the head of the idyllic vale of Lorton. The property is only two miles from the market town of Cockermouth and ten miles from Keswick. There are five lakes within easy driving distance - Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Crummock Water, Buttermere and Loweswater."
