The Oxenham Arms Hotel

The Oxenham Arms Hotel

Address : South Zeal GB - South Zeal EX20 2JT

Built around the famous Zeal Menhir Standing Stone, this 12th-century inn is set in its own monastery gardens in a pretty Devonshire village. A granite Tudor porch leads to a 500-year-old bar with a roaring log fire, and there is free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. One of the oldest inns in Devon, The Oxenham Arms was once visited for a month by Charles Dickens. The restaurant has picturesque views of Dartmoor. Seasonal lunches, evening meals, and bar food is available - made from high-quality local produce. The Oxenham Arms boasts traditionally furnished rooms, which retain charming old original features like wooden beams and exposed wall. Each room is decorated with antiques, and also benefits from a TV and an en suite bathroom.
