Pros
Turned up without booking on a Thursday lunchtime for their £5 for 3 courses menu. The place was packed but they found us a table despite the fact that we were covered in sand and two of us were 4 years old. the food was fantastic overall and exceptionally good value for money. I loved the location too overlooking the fish quay at the mouth of the Tyne.
Cons
the main course was tempura fish with boiled rice, a combination I found a little odd so I ordered some chips to go with it and left the rice. I think I would have preferred the fish with some vegetables instead. It wasn't a major problem especially as it was so reasonably priced.
