Berrington Hall Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
The Hall was begun in 1778 by Thomas Harley, a contractor who supplied pay and clothing to the British Army in America. The architect was Henry Holland, son-in-law of Lancelot "Capability" Brown who laid out the gardens and ornamental lake. The present interior provides an admirable setting for a remarkable collection of French and other furniture, paintings and objets d'art.
